Background Information
Mr. Sharman has a BS degree in Engineering Physics from the University of Toledo and a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. He has also completed corporate management and marketing courses conducted by General Electric in cooperation with Harvard Business School and other faculties at their Crotonville, N.Y. campus. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honor society and is currently listed in several Marquis Who's Who editions including Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Industry and Finance, and Who's Who in Science and Engineering. Following an engineering career with project engineer and manager positions, he has held several executive management positions with major corporations (GTE, XEROX and GE)including Vice President of Marketing, Vice President of Operations, Vice President of Business Systems and General Manager. Mr. Sharman formed his own consulting company that specializes in service to domestic and international wireless telecommunications companies. He has authored several published articles during his professional career, and has also been an e-mail counselor for SCORE working with people forming or growing their own businesses. As an Adjunct Professor at Montgomery College since 1997, Mr. Sharman is the recipient of the Lone Star College 2010-2011 adjunct faculty excellence award and has taught several business/management and marketing courses including: Principles of Marketing, Principles of Business, Principles of Management, Marketing Research, Advertising and Promotion, Sales Management, Principles of Selling, Project Management, Personal Finance, Business Analysis and Customer Service. He is a Cornell University Alumni Admissions Ambassador, and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran.
